RTZ And Honduras

Those of us who went to the Earth First! gathering in Leicester would have heard of Alfredo Sandoval, an indigenous Honduran, who came to speak about his community’s fight to stop mining giant RTZ from developing a destructive open cast mine in the Minas de Oro region.

After some national media coverage in Britain and numerous public meetings, Wilfredo returned to Honduras where an hour of national TV was devoted to the issue. It now looks as if RTZ is abandoning its plans - so thanks to everyone who helped the campaign (LEAF)
