3rd National Gathering 8-10 April 1994

Get yourself down (or up) to the Redwater Arts Centre which is on a beautiful hillside near Todmorden, West Yorkshire. Todmorden is near Halifax which is about 15 miles from Leeds (about 60p on the train from Leeds). From the final meeting at the last gathering it was suggested that:

Local groups be encouraged to have pre-gathering preparation
Skills/ issues and organisational workshops be separate
Gatherings primarily for organisational workshops
Gathering to have games and socialising timetable, esp “icebreakers”
Ideas from all EF! groups collated beforehand
The agenda be (flexibly) set before start of gathering

Get your group to decide what they want out of the weekend, scribble it down and send it to the LEEDS EF! address by as soon as possible , so we can collate all the information and send out a provisional agenda to all the groups well ahead of the gathering and local groups can see its OK.

What to bring:

Redwater is in the middle of nowhere so bring camping gear.

We need some covered communal spaces so if you can get hold of marquees, big benders, teepees, etc.

Money for food - we will provide ultra cheap vegan food for the weekend.

Alcohol: we're trying to avoid bastard companies, cans etc. so we’ve been busily home brewing for you and if you can bring loads of home brew to give away/swap/flog/, then do it!

We want to have some kind of EF! shop selling stuffs like D-Locks, climbing carabinas, arm tubes, recipes for concrete, so anything you can get cheap or on sale or return that you think might be of interest then bring it along Get some ideas in the post as soon as possible to Leeds EF!, and we'll do our best to fit them all in.
