Ancient Woodland Protest

3rd August 1993 Earth First! activists protested at the clear felling of ancient woodland at Bramdean near Winchester. The land belongs to Matthew Moreton, a local scumbag landlord - the trees were being removed purely to make a profit. Activists occupied the felling site, preventing any trees from being cut. The site is close to the site the Dongas camp moved to after “Yellow Wednesday".

This is a threat to large areas of ancient woodland in Britain. The Forestry Commission is in danger of being privatised. We must act now to save what is left of Britain’s ancient woodland.
